Their Story
If you’re reading this, you’ve played a part in this story. This is the story of Tyler and Claire. We matched with each other on Bumble sometime around May or June we believe, although neither one of us is exactly sure when that was now. After talking off and on for the summer, Tyler finally convinced Claire to go on a date with him. On 8/28/19 Claire and Tyler had their first date at Cilantros in Brazil. Through many laughs and some embarrassing moments, it became very clear to the both of them that there was something there. Claire asked Tyler out again the next day. From there they continued spending time together. From late nights on Claire's front porch watching The Office to Trivia nights with our friends, Amber and Jake. We quickly met each other’s families and grew very close. We became official on 09/18/19. We took our first trip together a month later to Chicago for Claire's birthday and many other trips after. Unfortunately, like many couples, we found ourselves quickly in the middle of a pandemic and not able to see each other as much as we would like. Claire and Tyler spent many nights on FaceTime desperately trying to spend any time that they could together. Claire got an Xbox so that she could start playing Zombies with Tyler and his family so that they could have date nights every night. This became their new normal. FaceTime with the whole Wilcox clan and nonstop Zombie playing after work every night is what kept the couple going through the Pandemic. We then decided to take the next step and move in together. Claire and Tyler finally found their dream home and moved in together with their five orange Fur Children on 06/19/20. Through the joys of homeownership and coming home to each other every day, we both realized we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. With the help of Melissa (Tyler's Mom) ring shopping, Grace (Claire’s Sister), and Holly (Claire’s Mother) planning, Tyler planned a Halloween Office Proposal. On 10/31/20 Tyler got down on one knee in front of all of our family and friends and asked Claire to spend the rest of her life with him and she said yes! On 05/14/22, Claire and Tyler will take the final step to spend together forever. On 05/15/22 the new Wilcox couple will go to Barbados to spend a week of wedding bliss. We are so excited to take on this new life journey with the help of all of our family and friends. Thank you for joining us as we take this next step!
